Collector hears grievances of '108' ambulance workers

Members of the ‘108' ambulance workers' union (Tamil Nadu) submitted a memorandum to Collector U. Sagayam here on Thursday.

In their petition, a delegation of the forum listed out a number of grievances and urged the Collector to intervene and redress them. Of the 13 ambulance vans in Madurai, vital parts and gadgets such as tyres, wheelchair, siren, horn, battery, oxygen cylinder, air-conditioner unit among others required periodical maintenance in many. Despite repeated pleas to the authorities, they had not been carried out, posing severe hardship to the employees in discharging their duties.

இலவச பஸ் பாஸ் உடனே தர வேண்டும்

தமிழக அரசு பஸ் கட்டணம், பால், மற்றும் மின்சாரக்  கட்டணங்களை கடுமையாக உயர்த்தியுள்ளது.ஏற்கனவே குறைவான சம்பளம் வாங்கி கொண்டுள்ள 108 ஆம்புலன்ஸ் ஊழியர்கள் இதனால் கடுமையாக பாதிக்கப்படுவார்கள்.ஜி.வி.கே.நிர்வாகம் அது ஒப்புக்கொண்டபடி சொந்த ஊரில் வேலை கொடுக்காமல் , அனைத்து ஊழியர்களுக்கும் சொந்த ஊரில் இருந்து சுமார் 80  கிலோ மீட்டர் தள்ளியே ஒவ்வொருவரும் சென்று வேலை பார்த்து திரும்பி வரும்படி கொடுமைப்படுத்தி வருகிறது. இந்த நிலையில் வாங்கும் சம்பளம் முழுவதும் பஸ் டிக்கட்டுக்கே சரியாக இருக்குமானால் 108 ஆம்புலன்ஸ் ஊழியர்கள் எப்படி குடும்பம் நடத்துவது?.

உள்ளாட்சி தேர்தலில் ஓட்டு போட உரிமை வேண்டும்

அக்டோபர் 17  மற்றும் 18  ஆகிய இரு தேதிகளில் உள்ளாட்சி தேர்தலுக்கான வாக்கு பதிவு நடைபெற இருக்கிறது. இந்த தேர்தலில் அனைவரும் வாக்களிக்க வேண்டும் என்ற நோக்கத்தோடு அரசு மற்றும் தனியார் பணியாளர்களுக்கு விடுமுறை அளிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. தேர்தல் பணியில் இருப்பவர்களுக்கு தபால் ஒட்டு அளிக்க ஏற்பாடு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது. ஆனால் 108  ஆம்புலன்ஸ் தொழிலாளர்களுக்கு இது போல எந்த மாற்று ஏற்பாடும் செய்து தரப்படவில்லை. ஓட்டு போடுவது என்பது நாம் அனைவருக்கும் அரசியலமைப்பின் படியான உரிமை ஆகும். ஆனால் ஜி.வி.கே. நிர்வாகமோ இது போன்ற எந்த மாற்று ஏற்பாடுகளையும் செய்து தராமல்  தொழிலாளர்களின் சட்டப்படியான உரிமைகளை தட்டிக்கழிக்கிறது. அரசு உடனே தலையிட்டு 108  ஆம்புலன்ஸ் தொழிலாளர்கள் உள்ளாட்சி தேர்தலில் வாக்களிக்க உரிய ஏற்பாடுகளை செய்து தர வேண்டும்.

அரசு விடுமுறை தினத்திற்கு மாற்று விடுமுறை தரவேண்டும்

108  ஆம்புலன்ஸ் தொழிலாளர்கள் இரவு பகல் பாராமல் வேலை செய்வதோடு தங்கள் உறவுகள் எல்லாம் பண்டிகையை கொண்டாடி கொண்டு இருக்கும்  அரசு விடுமுறை நாள்களிலும் வேலை செய்கிறார்கள். சட்டப்படி தொழிலாளர்களுக்கு கிடைக்க வேண்டிய விடுமுறையை கூட ஜி.வி.கே.தனது லாப வெறிக்கு இறையாக்குகிறது.தமிழக அரசு உடனடியாக தலையிட்டு அரசு விடுமுறை நாள்களுக்கு மாற்று விடுமுறையும் வேலை செய்யும் நாளுக்கு இரண்டு மடங்கு ஊதியமும் பெற்று தர ஆவன செய்ய வேண்டும்.

108 Staff, GVK-EMRI impasse on - HYDERABAD

The state government is making no efforts to break the logjam between the striking 108 ambulance service employees and the GVK-EMRI.
With the strike entering 19th day on Friday, the GVKEMRI was not able to operate more than 30 ambulances out of the 715 on each day.
The striking employees told Express that the 108 services have been affected in 14 districts in the state as all their employees have been on strike from September 12 and the management was operating the services in some places by hiring outside employees.

They allege harassment by officials of the company that provides ambulance service

Seeking action:Members of the Karnataka Rajya Arogya Kavacha (108) Naukarara Sangha being taken into custody during the protest in Bijapur on Saturday.

Bijapur: Paramedical and other staff working under the Arogya Kavacha, emergency ambulance service scheme (108), went on a strike here on Saturday to protest against “harassment” by officials of the GVK Emergency Management and Research Institute, which provides the service.

Sharana Basappa, who works under the scheme, attempted suicide by taking sleeping tablets in Sindagi taluk of Bijapur district on Friday night as he was unable to tolerate “harassment” by officials.
